Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Rowland house (Miss White's House).

952 Old Post Road

The Rowland House was built by Andrew Rowland in 1760. It was spared during the burning of Fairfield in 1779 because of an act of courtesy to a British officer years before. According to popular legend, Rowland's son warned the town of the British troop's arrival.
